You can’t possibly relax on a villa for rent in Cap Ferrat without fantasizing about a shopping trip. We have compiled a list of our top recommended stores for your perusal.
Monaco
It’s hardly up for debate that Monaco is the world center for luxury shopping. The brand-new “One” area opened its doors to the public in March 2019, and it is located within walking distance of the world-famous casino in Monte-world-famous Carlo. The cinema theater has been converted into a shopping mall with high-end luxury brands such as Prada, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, and many more. At MC Market in the Larvotto area, you may also find promising contemporary labels that aren’t yet ready for their own boutique.
Cannes
The three kilometers of the Croisette are lined with high-end boutiques selling everything from haute-couture by Chanel, Dior, and Yves-Saint-Laurent to ready-to-wear by Armani and Céline and jewelry by Cartier, Chopard, Ferret, and Fred to leather goods by Fendi, Gucci, Hermès, Vuitton, Ferragamo, and Lancel. If you’re unable to locate what you’re looking for in the illustrious streets of Monte-Carlo, head to Cannes, where the shops are larger than those in Monaco. The lovely street d’Antibes is home to both high-end shops and more affordable chain retailers.
The Town of St. Tropez
Saint Tropez has become the most important commercial center on the French Riviera. The town’s streets are lined with posh clothing stores and brilliant jewelry shops.
Luxury goods, including clothing, shoes (including the classic Tropezienne style), home decor (including furniture and antiques), and jewelry, are all available in specialized stores. One may get sailing gear, perfume, chocolate, and even cigars at this shop. Unsurprisingly, artworks are quite popular purchases in this gorgeous city, and the many meandering streets are dotted with galleries ready to show off their products. Stylish boutiques and well-known department stores sell all the designer items and designer labels a shopper could want in St. Tropez. The Rondini family’s shoe firm and the KIWI brand of bikinis, swimsuits, and trunks will have you looking your best at any St. Tropez event. Your pet will be given the royal treatment as well, and in a city made renowned by its stunning local star, Brigitte Bardot, it will feel quite at home parading along the promenade in its diamond-encrusted collar.
Polygone Riviera
There was so much excitement when it first opened in Cagnes-sur-Mer in October 2015 that drivers had to fight through gridlock for days before they could explore the new retail mecca. Polygone Riviera’s fame has only increased since then. The variety of this open-air retail center, styled after a European town complete with a lake and a thousand trees, is quite astounding. It’s more than just a window display; it’s a full-fledged Côte d’Azur hedonistic excursion! The benefits? Where to begin but with the stores! There are 170 different categories, including fashion, home décor, eyewear, makeup, art, literature, children’s books, and gardening. Current favorites like Bershka, Pull & Bear, JD, Zara, Mango, Primark, FNAC, Uniqlo, etc., mingle with luxury labels like Boss, IKKS, Aubade, Valentino, Calvin Klein, etc., and emerging labels like Nue 19.04, American Vintage, Jott, La Fée Maraboutée, & Others Stories. Le Printemps, located on a massive 9,000 square feet of space, is the store’s longest-running name brand.
San Remo
Located just a short distance from the French Riviera, The Mall Sanremo brings a new level of luxury shopping to the area. You can find something on-trend and at a good price if you stop by the Balenciaga store, where new arrivals occur weekly. vvvv
